We love homemade chili and I make big batches on purpose--so I can cook once and use it 3 different ways----chili, chili mac, and then chili dogs and fries.

Thank you for a different chili recipe---will have to try this one out!

I have done lasagna in the crockpot before. At our old house--we hosted many of the holidays and I had family members who ate no meat. So, I made meatless lasagna and mac & cheese caserole for every function. After awhile--I learned by doing them in the crockpot--I could prep them the night before--and then just put them on to cook the morning of. There by--freeing me up to do other last minute prep. However, I look forward to trying your recipe---it is different than mine and sounds yummy with cottage cheese---mine has cream cheese in it.

Sounds delicious! We make steak fajitas occasional--I usually don't marinate the steak as I use an Ortega fajita seasoning packet---but this Mexican method sound much yummier! I will have to look for the Arracherras (skirt steak) next time.

Yes, beef stew is one we like to make around here too! In fact, I have some beef in the freezer that I had bought for beef stew --before the move. Now, I just have to re-stock my veggies so I can make it.

Meat & Bean Burritos
3lb 7 bone in Chuck roast
1 can tomato sauce
½ cup chopped onion
1 packet Taco seasoning
1 can of re-fried beans
Tortillas
Tomatoes
Salsa
Lettuce
Cheddar Cheese
Sour Cream …etc…
Place Chuck roast in crock pot. Pour Tomato sauce and onions over roast. Cover and cook on high for 6 hours or on low for 11. Meat should fall right off of the bones. Remove bones from crock pot. Remove half of the meat for another dish. Mix in a single packet of taco seasoning to remaining meat. Cook on low for 15min. Stir in can of Refried beans. Leave mixture on low until ready to serve. *If you would like to use all of the meat to make the burrito filling use 2 packets of taco seasoning and 2 cans of refried beans. Serve on Tortillas, and top with Cheese, Salsa, lettuce, etc.

As long as you have a crock pot, you should be fine ;0) This is the easiest recipe ever - perfect for days when you don't feel like hassling with making dinner.
Crockpot Ravioli:
25 oz bag of frozen ravioli
1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
1 cup mozzarella cheese
Dump your bag of frozen ravioli right into the crockpot.
Pour your jar of sauce over the ravioli.
Stir the ravioli to evenly coat with sauce.
Cover and cook on high for about 3 hours. Depending on how fast your crockpot cooks, you may notice they are done closer to 2.5 hours. You could also cook on low for a longer period of time.
About 20 minutes before you are ready to serve, sprinkle the top of the ravioli with finely shredded mozzarella cheese. Pop the lid back on and let it melt- about 20 minutes.
TAH-DAH!

I am cooking with my crock pot tonight. Making beef stew. The amounts will be based on how large a crock you have.
Cut up any cut of beef. Put in onions, carrots, celery and potatoes and 2 garlic cloves.
Add 1 t salt. 1/4 t paprika, 3 T Worcestershire sauce. 2-3 cups of water.
Tonight I added a packet of gravy to thicken it. Sometimes I will use flour.
I will cook 4-5 hours on high.

Hmmm.... crockpot works! This one is really easy and is truly good. Put a piece of beef steak (London Broil works great). Dump in a large can of mushroom soup straight from the can. You can just do those two ingredients and cook for 8 to 10 hours. Or you can add a little onion and some fresh mushrooms to it and cook the 8 to 10 hours. I serve pieces of the beef and the excellent gravy over mashed potatoes. I guess you could make your spuds on the hotplate:)

no stove... hummm I would miss the oven.. but, only for a little bit. ( I would fill the cornbread fetish my family has by busting out the old sandwich maker... I know I could do cornbread in that! )

Here is a crock pot recipe for you... I was scheptical at first.. but, it turns out yummy!
Easy crock pot lasagna

Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 (12 ounce) package lasagna noodles
12 ounces cottage cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
16 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
1.In a large skillet over medium heat cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until brown. Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt, and oregano and stir until well incorporated. Cook until heated through.
2.In a large bowl mix together the cottage cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
3.Spoon a layer of the meat mixture onto the bottom of the slow cooker. Add a double layer of the uncooked lasagna noodles. Break to fit noodles into slow cooker. Top noodles with a portion of the cheese mixture. Repeat the layering of sauce, noodles, and cheese until all the ingredients are used.
4.Cover, and cook on LOW setting for 4 to 6 hours.
